Group ESG initiatives
As a Group, we care deeply about Environmental, Social and Governance practices that have a positive impact on the world and communities in which we live in. We have a responsibility towards our customers, our people and the planet, and give back to the world’s woodlands at every opportunity.
We ensure that the quality timber we use is sustainably and responsibly sourced – something not all our competitors can claim.
Our products are made of material from well-managed forests and other controlled sources.
We have joined forces with Ripple Africa to help fund their mission of planting trees to help combat deforestation and poverty.
Trees provide a habitat for animals, purify water sources, control flooding and erosion, and help replenish the soil with much-needed nutrients. That’s why, for every Tiger shed order placed, we will now be able to replant a tree and protect a further three in deforested nations that no longer have resources for food, shelter, clean water, and education.
Together, we employ thousands of people living in extreme poverty and provide them with employment, education and tools necessary to plant, grow and protect millions of trees every month.
Launching in 2022 Pallet Loop is a circular economy pallet re-use scheme for the UK’s manufacturing and construction sector.
Woodlands Group are a founding member and proud to support the initiative that will transform the way materials are distributed across Great Britain and Ireland, with a simple, circular approach to pallet use that’s greener, safer, leaner.
Born into a world where crime is the norm, the majority of ex-offenders we help come from poverty and have lived a chaotic lifestyle, often due to the unfortunate start they’ve had in life.
We understand that finding a good job with a criminal past is almost impossible. So we’re making a difference by giving highly motivated ex-offenders life-changing employment opportunities that across our Group
Tempus Novo has proven that risk-assessed ex-offenders can go on to be some of the best employees in the business, and we’re delighted to call them a partner.
Throughout the years, we’ve worked with a range of incredible charity partners to give something back to the community. Some of the charities we’re proud to support include:
